Artisan "Bee Black" Handmade Tiles - Artisan Tiles- 1.5" (39 mm) Stoneware tiles
Each of these beautiful tiles was made by hand from black Canadian clay. The surface of these tiles is unglazed and is the natural colour of the clay. They have a beautiful smooth feel and are fully washable.
After being formed, the tiles go in the kiln and are removed about 30 hours later.
These tiles are 'stoneware' and not earthenware, having been fired to a temperature of 2250F.
The tiles can be used on countertops, table tops or used as backsplash or decorative wall tiles and can be used indoor or outdoor.
These tiles would be lovely accent pieces in your tile project and can also be combined the any of the other 1.5 inch tiles in my etsy shop such as Vivid Garden tiles the 9 tile sets. They can also be paired with the Black Clay tiles" featured in our other tile listings.
